With senior quarterback Connor O’Leary already committed to Campbell, Red Bank Catholic, which finished No. 1 in the All Shore Media Top 10 in the fall, has had several other players make their decision or narrow it down to their final choices.
Linebacker Anthony Lubischer, a first-team All Shore Media All-Conference selection, has committed to Division I-AA Fordham University up in the Bronx, and his teammate, senior offensive lineman Chris Spahr, will now be his Patriot League foe as Spahr, also a first-team selection, has committed to Bucknell. Senior wideout/defensive back Alex Taylor will choose between Sacred Heart and Monmouth University of the Northeast Conference, according to RBC coach Frank Edgerly, and first-team lineman Shawn Smith is down to either Wagner or Central Connecticut State. Senior defensive back/running back David Reeves and Liberty Division Offensive Player of the Year Nolan Vill, both first-team selections, are still undecided.
Any coaches or players who have football college commitments to report with National Signing Day coming up on Feb. 4 can e-mail me at email@example.com and I will post them. It doesn’t matter if it’s Division III or Division I, junior college or anything in between, I would like to recognize any players going on to play at the next level.
