The US Army All Shore Gridiron Classic at 7 p.m. on July 17 has been moved from Middletown South to Brick Township High School, the site of last year’s game, according to game director Lou Vircillo of Lacey. I will continue to post this to make sure that everyone knows it’s at a new place, but it’s on the same date and time, it’s just at Brick now.
Also, the live broadcast of the game will be found WOBM 1160 am and Fox Sports 1310 am with the award-winning team of Kevin Williams, Ed Sarluca and Matt Harmon. As always, those two stations will be broadcasting Shore Conference football games in the fall as well, and it looks like for Friday night games, the Shore Sports Network broadcast will also be available on “The Hawk,” 105.7 fm, which expands the reach of the game for more fans to enjoy.
Just a reminder that the Shore Baseball Coaches Senior All-Star Game is on Monday at 7 p.m. at FirstEnergy Park if the biblical plague of rain ends any time before Labor Day. Also, if you have a few spare minutes today, pop on ESPN2 or go online at ESPN360 at 2 p.m. and check out former St. Rose star Anthony Ranaudo, who is starting on the mound for LSU in the College World Series against Arkansas. Ranaudo, a sophomore, is considered one of the top pitching prospects in the country heading into next season, when he will be draft-eligible.
