Brick Swaps with TR South in Realignment

One item I forgot to get to from Thursday night was that Brick has successfully argued to be moved from Class A South to Class B South in the realignment that takes place starting with the 2010-11 school year because of incorrect enrollment numbers that were originally used to calculate the school sizes and formulate the divisions.

That means Brick has gone from the gauntlet of Class A South, which will include Toms River North, Toms River East, Southern, Jackson Memorial and Brick Memorial to Class B South, a division where Lacey looks like the clear favorite against the likes of Barnegat, Pinelands, Central and Manchester. That’s a big swing for Brick, and a much tougher road for a Toms River South program that is struggling right now at 0-5.
